Sony A6000 review

Sony A6000

Mirrorless. A compact camera without a mirror and with live view. The small size in particular is popular with many. System cameras are not SLR cameras, but they do offer the same functions. Because there is no mirror in a system camera, the body can stay much smaller. Considerable savings can also be made on weight. This makes a system camera perfect for taking anywhere quickly. To work, if you are going to walk the dog or even while running. That of course does not apply to all mirrorless cameras, some are somewhat larger than others. The Sony A6000 ICL system camera is of a fairly small size. It fits perfectly in your pocket. If I go somewhere quickly, I always take the A6000 with me. That way you will never miss that moment when you actually wanted to have a camera with you.

The Sony A6000 is a middle class camera where image quality and especially speed are paramount. The camera has been on the market for some time, but it is certainly not less. For those who go even further back and know the Sony NEX line…, the Alpha A6000 is the successor to that. The Sony A6000 is currently the most popular camera in its price range. Like its predecessors in the NEX series, it has an APS-C sensor. What does this mean? Put simply, this means that the sensor is smaller than a full-frame sensor. About 1.5 times smaller. The full-frame sensor format is generally used as the standard. A somewhat smaller sensor has its advantages and disadvantages.

The advantage of a somewhat smaller sensor is that it makes everything smaller. The body becomes smaller, the lenses become smaller and the weight therefore becomes less. Also not unimportant; the price of APS-C lenses is also lower than full-frame lenses. In terms of image quality, APS-C cameras are just as good as full-frame cameras in many respects, depending on the lens. What are the disadvantages then? They are hardly there in themselves. Of course you have to compromise on your image quality in some aspects, but this is almost unnoticeable for the average photographer. For example, your ISO performance and dynamic range are slightly less. The Sony A6000 kit comes with interchangeable 16-50 lens and 1 battery. Almost all the photos in this blog are made with the 16-50 mm!
